Emergency Tree Call Out in Harpford near Sidmouth, Devon

By | Sidmouth

We were called out by a customer who reported a large tree fall in the recent high winds in Harpford near Sidmouth, Devon.

Emergency call outs of this nature have been quite abundant recently because of unusually high winds over long periods.

As this was an emergency, we hastily made our way to the customer’s premises to assess any damage. We found that a large Ash tree had blown over causing an obstruction but fortunately damage was minimal. We set about the tree with chainsaws, slicing the large trunk into manageable pieces. This job took minimal time and the customer was very happy with our efficiency of service.

Sidmouth Eucalyptus Removal

By | Sidmouth, Tree Felling

This Sidmouth Eucalyptus removal and tree felling were needed because it had become an obstruction, and the space the tree was occupying was needed by the client. Tending to the plants that the Eucalyptus was hanging over had become an unnecessarily difficult task as well. The tree was removed in a clean and efficient manner leaving the surrounding plants and fencing untouched. The stump was chosen to be kept in the ground. But if you require tree stump removal, please let us know.

With Eucalyptus trees, it’s important not to cut any lower branches for the first 6 feet. Instead, wait until the tree has at least two season’s growth. Keep in mind that many of the faster-growing species will actually shed lower branches on their own. Coppicing is another method of Eucalyptus pruning to help control the tree’s height.

If your Eucalyptus trees are shedding leaves, check soil conditions and watering. It may be the tree is stressed from being newly planted and the summer heat. Inspect the tree, leaves, and trunk for any other signs of insect or disease. Call me if you need help with this.

Garden & Landscape Clearance

By | Garden Clearance, Sidmouth

Garden & Landscape Clearance is one of our specialities. This Sidmouth garden clearance consisted of removing one Magnolia tree, two apple trees, and a pear tree. The customer had just bought this property in Sidmouth with the intention of flipping it and selling it on. The previous owners, an older couple, had left the garden in complete disarray. Recovering the garden to its former beauty was my No. 1 goal and, to start, it needed to be cleared.

The garden initially looked quite small due to the lovely big Magnolia tree taking up a quarter of the land, and the three fruit trees making it appear even smaller. I cleared the garden of all trees so it could be re-landscaped, which would make it more attractive for a prospective buyer.

Could your lawn be improved with a little expert attention? Does your commercial landscape need frequent professional upkeep? Do you need someone to maintain the outside area of your industrial premises? Forget about your “to do” list. My SOS service will help your outdoor environments look better than ever before.
